Pepsi, Bad and Neverland


Michael Jackson signs a deal with PepsiCo in 1983 of $5 million. To filming a commercial, he badly injured and suffering burns to his face and scalp in 1984. He has surgery to repair his injuries and is suspect to begin experimenting with plastic surgery around this time. Become dramatically changes on his face, especially his nose in the coming years.

In the same year, to support the album Victory, Jackson embarks on his final with his brothers. Jackson duet with Mick Jagger, ‘State of Shock’ is the one major hit. Jackson showed his benevolent side by co-writing ‘We Are the World’, that is a charity single for ‘USA for Africa’.

Jackson releasing his follows up to Thriller in 1987 and reach the top of the charts with Bad. It boasts a record five Number 1 hits, including the title track. Jackson playing concerts more than a year to promote the album. The album is phenomenally successful than Bad.
Off stage, Jackson is a shy and quiet person. He always uncomfortable with the media attention he gets and rarely gives interviews. At the late 1980s, he has created his own fantasy retreat, a California ranch named Neverland.  There he installed amusement park type rides and keep exotic pets like chimpanzee, sometimes open up the ranch for the children’s events. Increasingly unusual behavior is the part of the Neverland story. Rumors swirling that he brighten his skin color to appear more white and sleeping in the oxygen chamber to increase his life span.

Jackson album Dangerous released in 1991, which is including the hit song ‘Black or White’. He performs at several important events. He also agrees to a TV interview, which on the air in February.


Molestation Allegations and Career Decline

Child molestation allegations against Jackson in 1993. A 13-year-old boy claim, Jackson cocker him. Jackson is known to have sleep in a bedroom with the boy at his Neverland. This is the first public charge of wrongdoing. The police search Neverland, but they can’t found any evidence to support the claim. This year Jackson settles the case out of court with the boy’s family. Other allegations widened, but Jackson can maintain his innocence.

Michael announces that he has married Lisa Marie Presley (daughter of rock icon Elvis Presley) in August 1994. After announcement, the couple gives a joint TV interview. The marriage is short life, they divorce in 1996. Somebody thought the marriage is a publicity work to restore his image after the molestation allegations.

At the same year later, Jackson unites with Nurse Debbie Rowe. This couple has two children through artificial insemination. They divorce in 1999 and Jackson receives full custody of their two children. He will go on to have a third child with an unknown delegate.
Michael Jackson’s career begins to decline to 1995 with the lukewarm reception. HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I, which featured some of his earlier hits with some new material. The record generates two hit song. In the album hit song Scream’s spaceship-theme video, which costs a record-setting $7 million to create and earn a Grammy Award for its slick effect.  Another song from the album ‘They don’t care about us’, Jackson face intense criticism for using the anti-Semitic term.

In 2001, Jackson comes with his another Invincible. This album sells well. After that year, he makes headlines when he seemed confused on the MTV video music awards on stage. After that, he gets enormous comments for dangling his baby son (Blanket) over a balcony while greeting fans in Berlin. Later in an interview, he explains that.

His reputation is served another blow in 2003 with the TV documentary ‘Living with Michael Jackson’.  Jackson falls on more legal dolor when he arrested on charges related to incidents with a 13-year-old boy. Yet, the jury is not found Jackson as a guilty of all charges on 14th June, 2005.
