Synopsis


 Before Cleopatra`s born, her family ruled Egypt for more than 100 years. She born in around 69 B.C.  Cleopatra is one of the most well known ancient Egyptians queen.

Biography


After the death of Alexander the Great Cleopatra's family come to rule at 323 B.C.,  and ended with Egypt's appropriation by Rome in 30 B.C.

The era begin when ruler become Alexander`s general, Ptolemy, of Egypt. Over the next three centuries, his posterity would follow his path. At its height, Ptolemaic Egypt is one of the great powers of world.

Cleopatra's father name is King Ptolemy XII. Ptolemy XII died in 51 B.C., then the throne is leaving to 18-year-old Cleopatra and her brother 10-year-old Ptolemy XII. Likely at the time, the two siblings married, it was customary. Next few years Egypt struggle to face down a number of issues, from an unhealthy economy to floods to hunger.

Political unrest also shape this period. Soon after earn power, complication arise between Cleopatra and Ptolemy XII. Eventually Cleopatra flees to Syria and there she assembled an army to defeat her rival in order to declare the throne for herself. She returned to Egypt with her military power and faces her brother at Pelusium in 48; what is located on the empire's eastern edge.

 Almost at same time, the civil war between Pompey and Julius Caesar is swallowing Rome. At last, Pompey search refuge in Egypt, but Ptolemy orders to kill.
Julius Caesar follows Pompey into Egypt, where he met with Cleopatra and eventually falls in love. In case of Caesar, Cleopatra now has enough military power to dethrone her brother and solidify her grip on Egypt as ruler. Caesar defeat of Ptolemy`s force at the Battle of the Nile and restore Cleopatra to the throne. Ptolemy XIII flees and drowns in the Nile.

Cleopatra born Caesar`s a son in 47 B.C., whom she named Caesarion. But, Caesar never acknowledged the boy is his offspring.

Eventually Cleopatra follows Caesar back to Rome and returned to Egypt in 44 B.C., following his murder. That years following Caesar's death led to a great power fight between Mark Antony and Caesar’s adopted son Octavian.

Marc Antony ruled Rome following the murder of Caesar, sent for Cleopatra so that she can answer questions about her obedience to the empire`s fallen leader. Cleopatra accepts his request and makes a lavish entrance into the city of Tarsus. Antony falls into love with Cleopatra and she born Antony`s three children, including twins name Alexander Helios and Cleopatra Selene.

 But Mark Antony married to Octavia (Octavian sister), it seen like as a family dishonor and at that age, Octavian also able to worry Romans that Mark Antony will give away Rome to this Egyptian Queen. Mark Antony is seemed her spell.
This competition grows into civil war. Cleopatra joins her Egyptian forces with forces of Mark Antony and fight Octavian’s force on the west coast of Greece. They clearly struck in battle and scarcely escape back to Egypt. Octavian’s forces follow the couple and capture Alexandria in 30 B. C.


Mark Antony soon return to the battlefield, there he falsely inform that Cleopatra has died. After hearing the news, the hopeless Roman leader committed to suicide by stabbing himself. Cleopatra follow her lover’s demise by ending her life by bitten by an Egyptian cobra, in 12th august, 30 B. C. The couple was buried together, as they had wished. Egypt become a province of the Roman Empire.
